There has been reports of a fire outbreak at Yaya close off casco street, Agboju area of Oriade LCDA in Amuwo-Odofin LGA, Lagos state.
Following the outbreak of the Fire incident which happened in the early hours of 2am on Saturday, 21 March 2020, in Festac Town, the Executive Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin, Valentine Buraimoh visited the scene.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday has lamented about the devastating effect of Sunday’s explosion at Abule Ado area of Amuwo-Odofin LGA OF Lagos, Southwest Nigeria and has launched N2 billion relief fund for victims.
Three more corpses today Monday 16th March 2020 been evacuated from the buildings affected by the explosion that happened at Abule-Ado in the Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The executive chairman of Amuwo-Odofin LGA, Engr Valentine Buraimoh was at the site of the Gas Explosion which occurred on 15th March 2020 at Abule-Ado Axis of the LGA.
The popular Bethlehem College, a boarding school for girls which is located at Abule Ado axis of Amuwo-Odofin was seriously hit by the explosion which happened on 15th March 2020.

On Thursday 27th February 2020, a group of traders from the popular Agboju Market in Amuwo-Odofin.
It has been confirmed by the Lagos State Ministry of Health of the first case of COVID-19 in Lagos state, Nigeria and has been reported to the Federal Ministry of Health.
The case, which was confirmed on the 27th of February 2020, is the first case to be reported in Nigeria since the outbreak in China in January 2020.
