​AMBODE SWEARS IN NEW COUNCIL BOSSES,  AS COMRADE BURAIMOH PROMISES ALL INCLUSIVE GOVERNMENT

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode yesterday charged the newly elected local government chairmen in  Lagos State to be hardworking and transparent in the management of resources put in their care.

Ambode gave the charge in Alausa at the swearing-in ceremony of the chairmen elected into the 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Areas of the state on Saturday.
The event took place at Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja and attracted thousands of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and family members of the elected chairmen and vice chairmen.
Ambode  tasked the chairmen  to be above board and deliver qualitative service to people at grassroots to compliment the state’s efforts. 

Ambode also admonished them to shun favouritism. In his words,  “As you settle down to the business of governance, you must bear in mind that the participation of the people in governance does not end with elections. 

The people must be carried along and given the opportunity to have a say in policy making process and implementation”

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA,  Comrade Engr Valentine Buraimoh has reassured the populace that he is going to run an all inclusive government. He made this known at  the swearing-in banquet,  to welcome him to the  Local Government. ” let it be known that my government will welcome advise from stakeholders. We all need to come together as one to move the LGA forward. I extend my hands of fellowship to everyone , ” he averred. 

Comrade Buraimoh further stated that he will leverage on the developmental projects of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode. 

The immediate past Executive Chairman, Comrade Ayodele Adewale opined that ” the populace will enjoy the dividends of democracy when the comrade Buraimoh led administration  kick start fully.  You have entrusted your trust in him, you will never be rewarded with good governance,”he stated.

A stakeholder in the community  who is also the CEO/MD of El Lab, Elochukwuku Adibo  during a media chat reiterated his commitment to partner with the Local Government on health related issues. This he noted was to bring about improvement in the health sector.
