Sanity has been restored to Mile 2 area in Amuwo Odofin after a team of men who claimed to be members of the Lagos Building and Investment Company stormed Zone A area to forcefully evict retiree shop owners from their area of livelihood to demolish what was termed ‘illegal’ structures.

Hon Dipo who was away on over site function immediately rushed to the scene. On his arrival, the security agents attached to the team fled the scene while the driver of the truck carrying out the demolition claimed he was only contracted a night before for the job and didn’t know what exactly he was coming to do.

Hon Dipo immediately accosted the officials and demanded for an authorization to demolish, when non was presented, the men and their team were asked off the site.

The container shop owners who are mostly widows and retirees trying to make ends meet couldn’t hold back their joy as they thanked the Honourable for his timely intervention adding that this sort of oppression has been going on by some leaders who use the agency to intimidate and extort money from them.

Some people have however termed it a political move to tarnish the image of the law maker who has always gained the support of his people.
