Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Festac Mega Axis, has awarded scholarships to 48 indigent students. The church also donated food items to the needy and embarked on the repair of public roads.
MFM also held a men’s deliverance and economic empowerment conference to empower men and train them in business skills.
The conference with free medical outreach and free prostate screening also witnessed cash gifts to empower men in different skills.
Speaking at the event, the Mega Regional Overseer, Festac Mega Axis, Pastor Irabor Enojiasun, said 13 indigent children of the widows, the needy, and the vulnerable, as well as 35 children of ministers and workers serving in the church, benefitted from the scholarships.
Enojiasun said the gesture was to capture more souls for Christ and obey the instruction of the General Overseer MFM worldwide, Dr. Daniel Olukoya who directed all churches to minister to the physical needs of the people apart from their spiritual needs as well as make an impact in their host communities.
He explained that the scholarship would ease school fee burdens, promote access to education for the less privileged, and empower families amidst economic challenges bedeviling the country.
On the community road repair initiative by the church, Enojiasun said the gesture was part of Olukoya’s Explosive Evangelism Initiative aimed at making a positive impact on the lives of members of the public.
