The chairman of Amuwo-Odofin LG Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh recently bagged honours from Zero tolerance for Social Immoralities (ZETSI) Africa , a non-governmental organisation with a mission to sustain new generational Ideology of curbing the menace of social immoralities in Africa.
Representatives from the NGO paid a special advocacy visit to the LG secretariat, Festac town and used the opportunity to present the certificate of credence and award to Engr Buraimoh.
Present at the meeting were the Council Manger, Buldr. Stephen Akitoye and other members of the management Staff and also the was the President/founder Ambassador Rasaq Jeje.
Mr Jeje expressed his appreciation on behalf of his organisation. the president seized the opportunity to familiarise all present with the objectives of the organisation, which includes zero tolerance for corruption, prepare African youth for participation in the process of decision making especially in matters affecting them etc.
Upon the completion of his speech, the country director of the organisation from the republic of Benin, decorated the mayor with paraphernalia of the awards .
The Mayor in response to the honour bestowed on him said It is sobering to know that your activities to contribute to the development of your community are being monitored, thus, good works rewarded by commendation.
Engr. Valentine expressed his appreciation of the award and promised not to relent in the good works.
