Amuwo Set to Host ‘Owambe Thieves’ Meet & Greet Watch Party

Amuwo-Odofin is about to get lit! So Movie lovers, get ready for an exciting evening as the cast of the much-talked-about Owambe Thieves storms Festival Mall for a special Meet & Greet Watch Party.

The event is scheduled for Monday, April 21, 2025, at Genesis Cinemas, Festival Mall, Amuwo-Odofin with red carpet glam and cinema vibes kicking off by 6 PM.


Owambe Thieves a movie directed by Adeoluwa Owu and produced by the dynamic Eniola Ajao is a refreshing blend of comedy, chaos, and culture. Since its premiere on April 14, 2025, at Filmhouse IMAX, Lekki, and subsequent cinema release on April 18, the film has sparked buzz across the country.

The story follows Cheta and Lola, a young couple facing hard times after Cheta loses his job. With their one-year-old baby in tow, they move into Lola’s mother’s house, only to be met with scorn. When they witness bundles of cash flying at a traditional introduction ceremony, desperation takes over and so begins their journey into crime as the now-infamous Owambe Thieves.


The cast is stacked with some of Nollywood’s finest, including:

Odunlade Adekola, Eniola Ajao, Zubby Michael, Fathia Balogun, Sola Sobowale, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Wumi Toriola, Phyna, Tolani Shobajo, Tosin Silverdam, and Mercy Aigbe. Also gracing the screen are Chimezie Imo, Olumide Oworu, Femi Branch, Hadiza Abubakar, Seilat Adebowale, and many more.
