Amuwo-Odofin LG Chairman presents ₦2.4 Billion Budget to the Legislative Arm
The Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA, Engr. Valentine Buraimoh on Tuesday, 6th Of March 2018 presented a budgetary proposal of ₦2.4 billion to the legislative arm.
Summarising the draft 2018 revenue budget, the Chairman told the legislative arm that the local government would finance the budget from its expected share of Federation account, value added tax and internally generated revenue.
He said,
“Our ultimate goal for the 2018 budget is to ensure a continuous improvement in the welfare and standard of living of our people. This will be achieved by consolidating the previous achievements of this administration and do everything possible to recover the lost glory of the local government.
“Thus, the 2018 budget has been carefully packaged to ensure the effective realisation of our vision and mission.
“It is important to intimate this august Assembly that the preparation of the 2018 budget has been very participatory. Relevant inputs were sourced and received from various stakeholders across the state in order to enhance the quality of the budget.”
The Council Chief also thanked members of the legislative arm, party members, Management Team, Members of Staff and the good people of Amuwo Odofin LGA for having faith in his administration and supporting the developmental projects initiated by his administration.

“I wish to also appeal to our dear Honourable Members of the legislative arm to give, a speedy consideration to the 2018 draft Budget Estimates so that its implementation can commence fully.”
The leader of the legislative arm, Hon. Abimbola Oshodi promised that the House would continue to give the necessary support the Executive Arm in its quest to redefine governance for the interest of the populace.
