As part of efforts to ensure the safety of residents and in line with the agenda to build a smart city and a more conducive atmosphere to safely transact business as a national and continental commercial capital, another fire station has been built in Amuwo-Odofin.
This is also in a bid to ensure the expansion of Fire and Rescue Service coverage within the state and the Amuwo-OdofinLocalGovernment.
The new fire and rescue service station has been built at the Ijegun Egba axis in the Oriade LCDA community in Amuwo-Odofin.
The Ijegun Egba Fire Station is well equipped with standby generators, CCTV surveillance systems, large water storage, and more.
Paying a visit to the facility were the Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, the permanent secretary, the deputy director of LSFRS, and other team members.
The visit was to ensure facility preparedness for kickoff operations , carrying out assessment and inspection ahead of the official commissioning and commencement of operations.
