In the bid to move the local government forward , the Amuwo Odofin local government has yet cleared another stride by having a strategic partnership with Investors from United States of America and Japan.
The investors who paid a visit to the local government chairman at the local government secretariat concluded plans to invest on tourism, entertainment industry and waste management in Amuwo Odofin local government area, Lagos state.
The President/CEO of Davina Douthard Incorporated, USA, Ms Davina Douthard averred that “she is here to have a chat with the Executive Chairman to see ways on how her organization can help in developing the tourism and entertainment industry here in the local government.
“I have read a lot about Amuwo Odofin Local Government and have seen for myself that Amuwo is viable for investment. My discourse with the Chairman was positive and very soon we will kick start.
“When we kick start, the youths will be engaged and employment will be created,” she noted.
Her counterpart from Japan, Mr. Takeshi Kobayashi, the President of Kobayashi Industries Japan, in his address stated that his organization would build a recycling plant in the community.
According to him, there are so many benefits in waste management and his organization is going to turn waste to wealth for the good people of the local government area.
Responding, LG Boss observed that monumental progress resides in strategic local and foreign partnership, which the local government area as an investment hub is poised to capitalize on, as long as it will bring about growth and development to the greatest number of Amuwo Odofin residents.
He thanked them for the visit and promised to provide the enabling environment for them to thrive.
