As the 2025 local government elections approach, Festaconline Newsmedia continues its commitment to spotlighting credible aspirants across Amuwo Odofin LGA. In this edition of Meet the Candidates, we introduce Anuoluwapo Olatunbosun Adeosun, a dedicated community leader with deep roots in the Amuwo community and a passion for impactful leadership in his ward.

Position Contested and Ward
I am contesting for the Councillorahip position of Ward B1, Amuwo Odofin Local Government.
Background and Experience
Anuoluwapo has been a resident of Amuwo-Odofin for nearly 4 decades and is a devoted husband and father. He schooled within the community from Central Bank Primary School, Command Day Secondary School, JunifPride International Secondary School, and the University of Lagos.

Adeosun has had his professional background where he has worked with several people institutions, most recently as Head of Loan Remedial Management at Addosser Finance Limited; this role has positioned as an astute negotiator which is an integral skill needed as a legislator.
As a Christian, he says he is guided by strong values and eager to serve Ward B1 and drive positive change.
Why Running
I’m running for Councillor of Ward B1, Amuwo Odofin, driven by my passion to serve and uplift our community. As a dedicated and results-driven individual, I aim to be a true voice for my people, championing their interests through effective representation. My vision is to tirelessly work towards Ward B1’s betterment, fostering development, unity, and progress for all residents.
Top 3 Issues and His Plans
The three major issues facing Ward B1 are:

- Women and Youth Empowerment: To address this, I plan to implement skills training programs for youths, enhancing their competitiveness. Additionally, I’ll facilitate financial empowerment for women through grants from partner NGOs.
- Security: I’ll foster community-security agency collaboration to ensure a safe environment for all residents.
- Infrastructure Development: I’ll monitor government infrastructure and liaise with relevant departments for timely maintenance and improvement of roads, drainage, and public facilities. Staying Accountable
If elected, As your elected Councillor, I’ll stay connected and accountable through:
- Biannual town hall meetings to listen to residents’ concerns and feedback
- Collaborative work with stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes
- Transparency and regular updates on progress and initiatives
With my private sector experience and leadership skills, I’m confident in my ability to effectively represent and serve the people of Ward B1.

I know the current state of our community needs improvement, but I’m here to bring hope.
