Position Contested and Ward
I am contesting for the position of Councillor in Ward C, (Orire ward D) Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area, Lagos State.
Background and Experience
Oluwabusola Annie Okibie hails from Osun State and is happily married with children to an Igbo man from Anambra State.
She holds a degree in Agricultural Economics and Farm Management and currently pursuing a course in Health Information Management.
Okibe is a passionate community health advocate, a woman of faith, and a servant leader committed to the well-being of people. She has a background in humanitarian service, community development, and women/school children empowerment and also actively supported healthcare programs and educational outreach initiatives within our community

Why Running
In her words
“I am running for Councillor because I believe leadership is about service, not position. My decision is rooted in a desire to bring purposeful leadership that listens, understands, and delivers results that reflect the real needs of our people. I want to represent the voices that have been unheard and ensure development touches every corner of Ward C.”
Top 3 Issues and His Plans
- Poor Healthcare Access
I will collaborate with health authorities and NGOs to organize frequent medical outreaches and lobby for better-equipped primary health centers. I will also advocate for the establishment of a new primary healthcare center within the 6th Avenue coverage area of Ward C. - Lack of Youth and Women Empowerment
I will champion skills acquisition programs, entrepreneurship training, and access to small business support for youths and women. I will also promote youth engagement in sports to steer them away from drugs and crime, and work toward revamping recreational parks. - Environmental Sanitation and Infrastructure Neglect
I will work with relevant agencies (such as LAWMA) to ensure proper waste management and improved drainage systems. I will also push for the rehabilitation of neglected areas, educate residents on environmental sustainability and hygiene, and lobby for the construction of new boreholes in water-scarce areas like 401 Road.
Staying Accountable
I will hold quarterly town hall meetings, maintain an open-door policy, and use social media as a tool for feedback and engagement. I will also form a Ward Development Committee comprising community representatives to ensure transparency and grassroots involvement in every decision.
Her Message to the People
Dear good people of Amuwo Ward C, the time for impactful and sincere leadership is now. I, Oluwabusola Annie Okibie, am offering myself to serve you with integrity, compassion, and a bold & clear vision. I am one of you, and I stand with you.
