TAwinner has emerged he All Progressives Congress (APC) has achieved a sweeping victory in the Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Chairmanship and Councillorship elections, securing a dominant lead across all wards in both Amuwo-Odofin and Oriade LCDAs.
According to official results released by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), the APC chairmanship candidate, Prince Lanre Sanusi polled a total of 24,926 votes, far ahead of other parties:
- Labour Party (LP): 1,962 votes
- People’s Democratic Party (PDP): 675 votes
- Young Progressive Party (YPP): 65 votes
- Action People’s Party (APP): 23 votes
- All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA): 18 votes
With this outcome, the APC not only secured the chairmanship seat but also won all councillorship positions across the wards in the two council areas.
This landslide confirms APC’s continued political dominance in Amuwo-Odofin, as residents now await the swearing-in of newly elected officials in the coming days
