Amuwodecides: APC Grabs Back House of Assembly Seat In Amuwo-Odofin

The just concluded 2019 general elections for the House of Assembly seat in Amuwo Odofin which took place on Saturday, 9th of March 2019 resulted into a grab back of the seat by the APC.

The APC , All progressive congress party candidate , Hon. Mojisola , clinched highest votes in Amuwo-Odofin Constituency 1.

According to the returning officer, Prof. Timothy Nubi who announced the results yesterday morning INEC Collation Centre in Festac Town, Hon Mojisola Alli-Macaulay of APC  got 7751 Votes , Incumbent and PDP Candidate, Hon Dipo Olorunrinu had 7147 votes, Emeka Okpor , YPP Candidate had 65 Votes, Affez of PPA got 11 votes, Kolawole Akeode of SSC – 17 votes etc.

Alli-Macaulay emerged winner for Constituency 1 with 7,407 votes, defeating Dipo Olorunrinu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 7,129 votes.

While in Constituency 11, Mr Olawale Rauf was declared the winner of Constituency 11, with 14,842 votes.

The Returning Officer, Dr Abimbola Sowemimo, announced the PDP scored 6,104, ADC got 148, UDP had 69, UPP gathered 51, while other parties received less than 50 votes.

“That Alli-Macaulay Mojisola of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected,” Nubi said.
