After a year long wait and months of anticipation on a random Saturday in the month of January 2020, fans of the artist Shinzu woke up to a surprise announcement to the release of his mixtape project Hey i think i can rap & bangers.
Despite it being a surprise and independent release it’s since gone on to be Shinzu’s most successful project garnering over Seventeen Thousand streams since it’s release.
Shinzu identifies as Genreless, while this doesn’t mean he’s not aware of his strengths musically or where majority of his audience flock from, he’s found himself a jack of many trades and an admirer of several genre always willing to experiment and create new sounds not being bound to a particular style or genre and that enforces his idea of identifying as Genreless.
His music leanings though can be classified either as Pop, Hiphop or variations of the afrobeats genre.
Armed with a total of over Fifty thousand streams and counting, a loyal fanbase with many signing up to his bi monthly newsletter publications, a soon to be released sophomore project.
Shinzu seems ready to take on the industry a move he’s said would be achieved either backed by a label or independently.
