Video: Residents Cries Out As Festac Bank Causes Environmental Pollution

Residents of Festac Town, Lagos have cried out for help as fumes from the generating set of a First Bank Plc branch on 32 Road is causing environmental pollution in the neighbourhood.

In the video, an unidentified female voice was lamenting how smoke from the generating set has been emitting carbon monoxide into the air.

Carbon monoxide is a potent poisonous substance that envelopes oxygen in the human anatomy and can lead to instant death.

In a swift reaction, authorities of the Lagos state Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has directed that the management of First Bank to abate the infraction within 24hrs.

The statement further went on to say that “Failure to comply will attract an outright sanctioning by the Enforcement team.”
