Festac Icon Vol 3- Dennis Okike

Festac Icon this week brings to you the winner of the 10th edition of Gulder Ultimate Search , DENNIS OKIKE.

Dennis Okike became an icon when he found the  10th Symbol in the waters of Usaka River, Akwa-Ibom State and became the last man standing in the 10th Gulder Ultimate Search in 2013.
Dennis Okike is a graduate of University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2009/2010. The only son of his family, with issues going on in his family . His dad was shot in 1998 and since then life wasn’t a bed of roses .That didn’t keep his faith down.

Silverbird Cinema Festac Opening September 25th

Good news, finally the long awaited Cinemas that is to be launched in Festival Mall is here. Just less than 16 days , the Silverbird cinemas would be opening in Festival Mall soon with the additional presence of Silverbird Cinema which would be coming in with four large screens, Festac would be a place to visit . Police Midnight Raid In Festac Leaves 2 Dead

7th Avenue festac town was under siege and raid based on intelligence by the Police command yesterday at about 12 midnight . Policemen were said to have raided okada riders and no fewer than 100 motorcycles were impounded.

Also it was reported that during this raid , 2 people were killed , an okada rider,Emmanuel Omofule, said to be from Calabar, Cross River State was shot dead as it turned into violence and Audu Michika from Adamawa State. Some policemen were injured as from bottles and stones hurled at them.

Police Raid Criminal Hideout In Festac

September 2nd 2015, The Lagos State Police Command successfully carried out a raid on some identified criminals in their hideouts. The raid as described by the Nigerian Police was based on intelligence as it was aimed at dealing proactively with rising security threats in Festac Town. Shoprite Festac has been on the anticipation of Festac residents Since the beginning of the year .

They have anticipated the opening of the shopping mall in the giant Festival Mall which is being constructed.

Many residents have asked this question without proper answers , so here is an update .

June 2015 was set for the delivery of Festival Mall which till now is still under construction.

Two highly anticipated occupants of the Festival mall , SHOPRITE and the Silverbird Cinema is still under construction.

So we are still expecting and hoping this would be completed before the end of 2015.
