Confusion and controversies face Amuwo Odofin Local Government after the Lagos state chapter of the APC, conducted the primaries for the Chairmanship position for the July 22 elections on May 27th 2017 .
News Just reaching us states that the Announcement for the Amuwo Odofin Chairmanship Candidate was not announced.
According to one of the Chairmanship Aspirants supporters, Samuel Aremu
I was there at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, the name for the candidate for Amuwo Odofin was not announced ,making it inconclusive. The crisis started after Surulere was announced, Nobody mentioned Valentine Buraihmoh as the winner, the crisis started after Surulere LG was announced
He also said that the mishap started after Surulere candidate was announced and that only 18 LG were announced.
The news that got to the local government that Valentine Buraimoh won the election, instigated violent reaction and led to the fire which engulfed part of the council office yesterday.
Speaking to residents in the local government, they are not happy with the aftermath as well as the supposed announcement of Valentine Buraimoh as the Candidate which was out of an inconclusive election.
