COVID-19 Nigeria: Confirmed Cases Sky Rocket To 81, Spread To East

The alarming increase in rate of confirmed cases of persons who have the COVID-19 Virus is worrisome.

The number of confirmed covid-19 cases across Nigeria has increases to 81, of which 10 states in the federation have at least 1 patient  with Abuja gradually rising after Lagos.

The new number of confirmed cases were confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) at about 11:57pm on Friday,27th March 2020 with 11 new cases of  which 8 in Lagos, 2 in Enugu & 1 in Edo State.

For the first time, the disease showed up in the country’s south-east as two cases were confirmed in Enugu state, making a total of 16 new cases on Friday.

As at this time of the report, there are 81 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria, 3 have been discharged with 1 death.

The current stats of the confirmed cases in the 10 states in Nigeria are as below

Lagos- 52 FCT- 14 Ogun- 3 Ekiti- 1 Oyo- 3 Edo- 2 Bauchi- 2 Osun-1 Rivers-1 Enugu- 2
