COVID19: 1270 New Cases In Nigeria

On Tuesday, January 12th 2021,The Nigeria Center for Disease Control says 1270 fresh cases were recorded in Nigeria.

There has been a sharp rise in the COVID-19 infections on in various States in the country reporting new cases.

According to the statistics released by the health agency, Lagos recorded 435 cases while the FCT recorded 234 cases.

of the 1270 new cases reported on Tuesday, Lagos alone has 435 new cases while FCT reported 234 new cases.

Other states had the following; Oyo-103, Plateau-86, Rivers-71, Enugu-51, Nasarawa-41, Delta-39, Edo-39, Osun-33, Niger-31, Sokoto-23, Ondo-16, Taraba-13, Ebonyi-12, Kano-10, Abia-9, Bayelsa-8, Bauchi-7, Imo-5, Katsina-3 and Gombe-1.

Nigeria now has 102, 601 confirmed cases of the disease.

81,574 patients have been successfully treated and discharged while 1373 deaths have been recorded.
