A new penalty king has emerged in Amuwo-Odofin as the annual penalty king competition, the 8th edition held on Sunday the 17th of December 2023 at Stone field 41 road in Festac Town, Amuwo-Odofin LGA.
Officiating the competition was umpire Coach Rahman who ensured the event was smooth and happened without hiccups as well as coordination and accreditation by MC Cladon Foster.
At the event over 200 participants registered in various categories, the Adolescents category saw to the highest registered participants of over 113, while the Adults had over 64 participants and the children were over 30.
The event was a fun-filled activity with various side attractions such as dancing competition for kids where the winner went home with a sandwich maker from Ideal electronics.
It was a fierce competition where winners emerged in the various categories. For female category of the Children less than 10yrs, Gift Kanu won a sum of N10, 000.00 cash prize and other gifts.
Osho Elijah won the male category of the Children less than 10yrs also with a sum of N10, 000.00 cash prize and other gifts.
Coming top in the adolescents category was Mohammed Zainab who defeated other female participants in the category and clinched N15,000 cash prize and other gifts while Gideon Uweja won the male category with N15,000 cash prize and other gifts.
The penalty king emerged as Egbedor Solomon Osagie Aka papilo won the adult male category who went home with the grand prize of N60,000.00 cash prize and other gifts. The female category wasn’t left out as Anigbo Mabel won with N40, 000.00 cash prize and other gifts.
Speaking to the organizer, Ibikunle Exquisite Oluwafemi, CEO of Exquisite Models International he said the event lived up to expectation and was overjoyed with the turnout as well as being able to fulfil promises to the winners. He also appreciated brands who made the event a success.
