Festac Link Bridge to be shut For Repairs, See Traffic Advisory

The Festac Link bridge after the inferno that occurred in December 2017 has since been undergoing series of repairs.

The Festac link bridge had its repairs kicked off in January 2018 and since then has been undergoing series of restructuring and refurbishing

Good News ! Festac Link Bridge Repairs Have Commenced Officially

The Festac Link bridge which is still currently undergoing repairs would be partially closed.

The Festac Link bridge is said to be closed from Monday 6th August to Monday 15th October 2018.

According to the LASTMA Officials, there will be a partial closure of the afore-stated bridge to enable MESSRS CCECC put finishing touches on the repair work.

So for Motorists residents and visitors that need to ply this route to access or exit Festac Town, here are quick traffic advisory to follow

Motorists Coming out Of Festac Town

For those coming out of Festac town from 1st Ave, 2nd Ave, 11th Ave & 21 Rd, they can make use of the link bridge to connect Apple-junction.

Motorists going into Festac Town

For those who would be going into Festac town from Oshodi, Cele, Ago Palace Way & 2nd Rainbow, to link Durbar Rd enroute Mazamaza Bridge to Festac 1st Gate into Festac town.

For motorists coming from Oshodi and Cele can make use of Mile2, to connect Festac through Mazamaza Bridge-Festac 1st Gate.

LASTMA officials are appealing with the public to use these aforementioned routes alternatives

LASTMA Personnel shall be at all strategic points and junctions to control and manage traffic in order to reduce travel time and delays. 

So, motorists should please cooperate with personnel on ground, and comply with traffic rules and regulations during the excercise and at all times.

We also apologise for any inconvenience this exercise may cause.

Recall that the bridge was also closed for some period for earlier repairs sometime in June
