Concerned over the plights and discomfort experienced by motorists plying some roads within the community.
The Executive Chairman Valentine Buraimoh, member’s of the executive team and the works department embarked on the road assessment drive to assess the level of rehabilitation required to make the roads motorable and free from portholes.
In the course of inspection, the team identified on 1st avenue the need for constructing a drainage across the dual carriage way through Fidelity Bank’s building to make way for free flow of water whenever it rains.
Addressing residents who welcomed the entourage of the Mayor on the inspection exercise, he promised that work will commence immediately on the roads.
“I cannot continue to see motorists, particularly residents suffer while journeying on our roads. I have resolved to mobilize the limited resources at our disposal to fix the roads. To achieve this, it became very necessary that we inspect the roads, assess the level of work to be done, then go back and develop a workable strategy on how to achieve maximal result with the limited resources available.” Valentine Buraimoh
