One of the vibrant clubs and humanitarian focused clubs in the Amuwo-Odofin community, The Rotary Club of Festac Town, Lagos put some smiles on the faces of the less privileged.
The club led by its President, Felix Nnamezie, in company of the Rotary District Governor, District 9110, Lagos and Ogun states, Kola Sodipo, and other members of the club recently visited Beth Torry Home.
Beth Torry Home which is a home for Mentally Challenged and Handicapped Children in Amuwo-Odofin benefited from the visit where they where were given refrigerator and some food items and offered scholarship awards to two indigent students of Foresight International School, Festac Town.
Speaking during the event, Nnamezie commended Sodipo for the visit and promised to continue to support the needy in society, adding: “Every Rotarian made a little contribution as part of the dues we pay every year to support the club.
“We also get funding from corporate organisations and have some individuals in our environment that we write to source for funds.”
