My name is Joe(real name withheld), I am a resident of Festac Town and I have been harassed and extorted by the police in festac Town division.
They stopped me on my way home in front of their office at the 2nd avenue axis of Festac Town which is a major stop and search stop for residents and commuters.
After i was stopped and asked a few questions, due to the fact that i didn’t have a valid means of identification then the wahala begun.
I was compelled to go inside office then they started asking all sort of questions and even i was asked to open my phone of which i refused then the story got worse.
I was then accused of commuting various crimes to my surprise. I also saw other people and event their parents or relatives coming and boys begging with money for release.
I was sad and highly disappointed
