Representatives from the FHA , Federal Housing Authority, FTRA , Festac Town Residents Association and the executives from the Amuwo-Odofin LGA met to work on a better Festac Town.
The meeting which held on Wednesday, 29th January 2020 at the LG Secretariat, Festac Town had the Chairmab, Valentine Buraimoh and other executives meet on the resolution to reclaim the glory of Festac as a model residential estate across Nigeria and by extension West Africa.
The director business development FHA, Hajia Hajara Kadin, who led the delegates from the headquaters in Abuja said
“We want to commend the Mayor for how he has gallantly administered peaceful coexistence in Festac and its neighbouring communities that makes up Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, also we want to thank him for the many social infrastructures he continues to provide so as to make living worthwhile for residents. Festac is our heritage, the concept Federal Housing Authority started from Festac, we cannot afford to watch it fall into ruins. The cry of the Mayor of Amuwo-Odofin, FTRA and other stakeholder have reached the ears of the Leadership of FHA, we have been sent to come and address the several challenges. We are very ready to work with the Local Government and the leadership of the resident association to restore our beloved estate to it’s original plan.”
Also the President of the FTRA , Mr Shola Fakorede, assured the delegates sent from the headquaters of its cooperation as they swing into action towards achieving the task ahead.
The meeting ended with a resolution to sanitizing the environment, which includes, dislodging shanties, eliminating car marts and mechanic workshops on walkways and greens.
