The Lagos State Government has said plans are at an advanced stage to build a General Hospital in the Amuwo Odofin Council Area of the state.
The Assistant Director of Medical Services at the state Health Service Commission, Dr Olufunmilola Esho, stated this at the third Annual Stakeholders Meeting of the Amuwo Odofin Maternal and Child Centre.
According to a statement on Wednesday, Esho said the state government was planning to build the hospital to cater to the growing population of residents of Amuwo Odofin and its environs.
While lauding the Medical Director, Amuwo Odofin Maternal and Child Centre, Dr Dapo Soyinka, and his team for improved services in the centre within the last two years, Esho asked corporate organisations and individuals to support the government in providing health care for the people.
In his remarks, Soyinka said there was a need for more space for the centre to improve its clinical activities.
