Its been a non-stop rain parade in the city of Lagos as major roads have been consumed by flood , business bbrough to a halt, some residents displaced, cars submerged and commuters stranded.
The rain which started at about 3am on Monday, August 4th 2025 and seemed like just another rainy day has turned out to be a continuous rain which has been falling for over 18 hours.
The city has been hit as some major parts of the metropolis has expereinced devasting floods.
Areas such as Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Ikorodu road, sections of Apapa, Alimosho, Lekki, Oworinshoki and others were rendered impossible to commute.
This caused serious gridlock, whereby motorists were locked down in several hours of traffic.
Affected also were businesses in areas like Maryland, agege and oshodi as well as Ikeja were not left out.
