Former Oriade LCDA Chairman Declares For House of Reps in Amuwo-Odofin, Meets APC Stakeholders

A former Chairman of Oriade Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area, Hon. Ramotalai Olanrewaju Akinlola-Hassan, has declared her intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Amuwo-Odofin Federal Constituency.

She made the declaration during a stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the party secretariat located on 3rd Avenue, B Close, Festac Town, Lagos State.

The meeting brought together apex APC leaders and key stakeholders within the local government area and served as a consultation forum among party members.

In her remarks, Akinlola-Hassan said her decision to enter the race was driven by her interest in public service and representation at the federal level. She stated that her focus would be on strengthening constituency development and improving access to democratic dividends if elected.

She also called for continued engagement and cooperation among party stakeholders, noting that internal unity would be important as political activities progress within the constituency.

The meeting was attended by several APC stakeholders and party leaders, including Prince Otolorin, Alhaja Memunat Ajao, Chief Dotun Adegbola, Chief Mrs. Omotanwa Olusi, Engr. Taiwo Shajobi, Otunba Banjo Ayeni, Alhaji Libari Oseni, Chief Dayo Ariyo, Mrs. Lyndia Otejeh, Chief Aberuagba, Alhaji Okeshina, Alhaji Shanu, Alhaja Ariyoh, Mrs. Francis, Mr. Tunde Ajayi, Alhaji Lawal, Engr. Valentine Buraimoh, Mr. Elebute Abiodun, Mr. Ayo Ogungbiye, Alhaji Tijani, and Hon. Sunday Adedeji.

Speaking at the meeting, Otunba Banjo Ayeni noted that Akinlola-Hassan is a familiar figure within the constituency and has maintained involvement in community and political activities over time.

Alhaja Thomas also remarked on her engagement with grassroots issues, stating that she has remained accessible to residents and active in community-related matters.

The meeting ended with discussions among stakeholders on party cohesion and ongoing consultations ahead of the next electoral cycle in the constituency.
