Foundation Holds Tournament’s 2nd Edition

The Second Edition of the Kunle Ologun Foundation Football Tournament kicked off on Saturday 5th of November 202, at the Amuwo Odofin Primary School Sports Ground with dignitaries and community members in attendance.

The Kunle Ologun Foundation is aimed at giving back to the community, hosting a football competition to engage the youths, and helping them to stay away from drugs, crime, etc.

Kunle Ologun Foundation, in partnership with K90 Channel, plans to go beyond just the football competition, however, supporting the community in the following areas as well: scouting for talented players and supporting their travel abroad for trials, monthly BP/Health checks for the elderly, youths interested in education with JAMB/WAEC forms and support youths interested in learning skills such as Carpentry, Bricklaying bricklaying and sawing.

Eight teams will participate in this year’s tournament with four teams divided into Group A and B.

The teams ZONE C, ZONE F, ZONE A, and ZONE D are drawn in Group A, while ZONE E, ZONE G, EXTENSION, and B ZONE will battle in Group B.

Mrs. Taiwo Sanusi who represented the founder of the tournament Ologun did the ceremonial kickoff.

In the first game, ZONE C hammered ZONE F 5-0, and the second fixture saw ZONE E destroy ZONE F 10-0.

Aside from trophies, there will be cash rewards for the champions, second and third-place teams, the most valuable player (MVP) of the tournament, and the top goal scorer. Meanwhile, a few scouts were present to witness the opening ceremony.
