The highly anticipated “Giving Back to the Hood” returns this year with its 4th edition, continuing its mission to celebrate the community and create positive impact within Mile 2 and its environs.
What started as a small initiative to give back to the community has grown into an annual event that combines entertainment, skill empowerment, and family-friendly fun.
According to the organizers, past editions have been successful thanks to the support of family, friends, and well-wishers.
Last year’s edition empowered 15 secondary school leavers with vocational training in fields such as barbing, tailoring, makeup, hairdressing, DJing, and decoration. The initiative was made possible through partnerships with professionals in these industries who volunteered to train the beneficiaries.
This year, in addition to vocational skills, the program introduces Kidpreneurship, a new module focused on nurturing entrepreneurship in children. The aim is to inspire kids to think creatively about business and innovation from a young age.
Marking 20 years in the entertainment industry for the event founder, the 4th edition promises a blend of music, dance, comedy, kiddies’ games, and family fun. Attendees can look forward to:

Special Feature for Car Owners
Adding a unique twist, this year’s edition will also provide free auto-diagnostic services for all car owners from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
