It was all fun on Friday 16th June as pupils of GoldenVille Montessori School Amuwo treated parents and guests to a funfare at an elaborate event to mark Project Exhibition 2016/2017 Academic Session at the school premises in Festac – Amuwo Odofin Lagos.
The event which was well attended featured Nigerian culture at its best, it was a sight to behold as children represented every bit of our Nigerian heritage, it was a showpiece, one that reminds us that there is greater unity in harmonizing diversity.
The Pupils were at their best when they made their musical presentations in different dialects, stage Dramas, poems and rhymes, Nigerian clothes exhibition, cultural occupation parade as parents and guests cheered them on endlessly.
Highlight of the exhibition came when Igbo palmwine tappers shared their original palmwine drink to the audience. There is no doubt that Goldenville as an institution is working hard to promote the very best of our cultural values in Nigeria.
Parents and guests, expressed their joy with the management of the school led by Mrs Egwuom Blessing who they described as dynamic and a bundle of ideas.
In his words, Pastor Anthony Ofoegbu described the proprietor as one with a captivating vision,
“the amazing thing about her vision is that it does not only impact on our children but also on us as parents. Even with my tight schedule I always look forward to attending PTF meetings because there is something new to learn always’ I will rate this school one of the best in Amuwo Odofin”.
On his part the PTF chairman of the school Mr Chinedu Maduagwu noted that project exhibition since it started has had good impression on their children, with what am seeing here today, I can tell you that the next generation will build a better Nigeria and I want to encourage every school to borrow a leaf from Goldenville.
For most people, it was proximity to the school that attracted them for others it is the curriculum. When our correspondent spoke to Mrs Ugboaja Odinchezo, she was bold to say that Goldenville is the best in terms of providing quality education; they teach our children to be self-confident and independent, the school fee is also reasonable compared to their standard.
Everyone had some good thing to say about the school at the project Exhibition of 2016/2017 academic session event for Dr Mrs Ezekwu Nkem, it’s her love for standard and GSM learning environment, I don’t compromise with standard she said and GMS gives me just what I want.
There are 1 million and 1 schools here in Amuwo, even though I have relocated but this school is still my best. And another parent Mrs Akandu Genevive told our reporter; even if I relocate today I will still bring my kids to Goldenville. I fell in love with the school’s packaging and curriculum, they are exceptionally unique.
Giving her vote of thanks at the just concluded exhibition, Mrs Egwuom, who was visibly elated thanked all the parents for their continued support and promised to continue to inspire her team to provide the best teaching standard which can be compared with any school anywhere in the world.
We are looking forward to welcoming our old students back for a new term in September and more importantly new students who will be joining our school she said.
