Good News: Second Rainbow- Alaba Interchange Bridge Now Opened

Residents and commuters in Amuwo-Odofin has welcomed a new phase of relieve as the much anticipated and long awaited new bridge built at the second rainbow axis of Amuwo-Odofin LGA, Lagos has been opened and now accessible for use.

Prior to now, there has been lamentations and serious concerns as commuting in the axis became something of concern with the long queues and annoying traffic.

Recall that the bridge has been almost completed for months since the earlier part of this year 2024. The bridge project which commenced late December 2022 was started with the aim of alleviating traffic congestion and enhancing connectivity in the area, decongesting traffic at the Mile2 axis.

The project emanates from Suru Alaba and navigates to Second Rainbow by Cele/Oshodi expressway to accommodate free flow of movement, traffic and connectivity.

Speaking to residents, Mrs Joy Nwakpa, “I am happy about this bridge, finally less commuting as my place of work is just at the other end” .

Mr Tayo Akinfenwa, an accountant who resides in Amuwo also expressed his excitement of easier commute , He Said” This would make my movement easier as i don’t have to join the traffic on the alternative routes”

The second rainbow bridge spans from the popular second rainbow bridge to the alaba axis.
