Hon. Akeem Bello Amuwo Odofin Law Maker Defects To APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has welcomed the defection of six of the eight Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members of the Lagos state house of assembly.

Part of the defected lawmaker is Hon. Akeem Bello representing Amuwo-Odofin constituency II. This was officially announced on the 16th Februaury 2017.

The other lawmakers  who decamped from PDP to APC are Mosunmola Sangodara (Surulere II), Jude Idimogu (Oshodi/Isolo II), Dayo Famakinwa (Ajeromi Ifelodun II), Oluwa Fatai (Ajeromi/Ifelodun I) and Olusola Sokunle (Oshodi/Isolo I).

Acting clerk of the Assembly, Azeez Sanni, read a letter dated February 16, and signed by the defectors, indicating that they had decided to join the APC.

 In the letter, the lawmakers said they were taking the step due to the division and infighting which had factionalised their party.

some of the defected lawmakers gave reasons of joining APC to serve there constituency better, some said due to the achievements of Ambode.

Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, welcomed the the lawmakers to APC and commended them for their decision. They were also received by other APC lawmakers.
