Hon Dipo Hosts Constituency Stakeholders Meeting In Amuwo-Odofin

Amuwo-Odofin Constituency 1 were thrilled to a constituency stakeholders meeting by the the Lagos State House of Assembly Member representing Amuwo Odofin constituency 1, Hon Dipo Olorunrinu.

The Meeting was gracefully attended by community residents , leaders, business men/women, traders, diplomats, religious bodies, traditional rulers, security agencies, stakeholders and representatives from the Lagos House of Assembly.

The event which held simultaneously in all the 40 constituencies of Lagos State took place at Holy Family Event Centre, 32 by 41 road junction opposite First Bank plc Festac Town by 6th October, 2017.

Various issues and concerns where raised by attendees such as ;

  • Residents of Agboju and the market sellers requested for a pedstrian bridge to reduce accidents of people while crossing over espevially the aged individuals.

  • Attention of state government to Amuwo Odofin as regards little allocation.

  • The LG Chairman, Valentine Buraihmoh raised the point that when he saaumed office, the Roads especially 1st avenue roads which he resolved. He complained bitterly of abandoned roads such as the 512 road which is in a bad and terrible situation.

  • A community member, raised the point of 2nd Rainbow being a Menace to the community especially the lack of serenity.

A concern was raised on the issue of lack of a general hospital in the entire Amuwo and there’s a large expanse of Land near MCC, the Orile-Badagry road hasn’t been completed for a long period of time which is causing menace, traffic , robberies etc.

Other issues such as Unemployment, 402 road which has been abandoned and in a degrading state has made the shops near the road unoccupied because of the drainage. another issue of the fact that Festac extension need urgent attention by the government.

Chief Ade Owas,Mile 2 Estate Chairman bitterly complained of several issues affecting his area such as the non-functional central sewage plant , the road at eko-akette, fatgbems-durbar road and all the inner roads are bad.

Zone G has been an abandoned area which breeds dangerous reptiles.

The issue of the recently demolished containers at the Mile 2 Estate was raised ,Hon Dipo cleared the air as regards to the demolition period.

Chief Owas also complained about the rubble’s after the demolition, since the raining season, the debris have been washed into the drainages.

Other issues discussed were for the need of a General Hospital, recreational facilities and youth centre in Amuwo Odofin that would cater for the youths, elderly and children in the region area.

Present at the event was the Local Government Chairman, Engr Buraimoh Valentine and his Vice Hon Idris, a former LGA Chairman Alhaja Olusi, APC LGA Chairman Alh Adewuni, PDP LGA Chairman Mr Abiola, FTRA President Mr Shola Fakorede, Head State Security Service Amuwo division etc.
