An 11-year-old boy named Prince Chinemerem Chukwuagozie was declared missing on the 24th of January 2023 after he did not return home after school activities.
The incident was reported to Festaconline Media earlier last week but thankfully, he was found and returned to his school, Sambank Academy on the 26th of January 2023.
The source who reported the missing tragedy narrated what the 11-year-old said happened in the short period while he was missing.
The 11-year-old said he didn’t know how he got out of school but found himself in a shop where they told him that he is being employed to work for them. He said they sell earpieces there, and that he will be paid 2,500 daily.
Immediately, they asked him to mop the shop which he did and they paid him 2,500 instantly. He then begged them to allow him to go buy food as he is very hungry, which was around 5 pm.
He said he walked a far distance before he saw where he bought bread and butter. He said when he was eating he saw people who told him that they are hungry so he bought bread and butter for them with the money he was given.
After eating, he said his mind told him to continue walking to see if he would meet someone to use his phone to make calls. He walked till about 1 am when he got to Itire side, already tired. He said he felt those people were after him and luckily for him, he met the OPC men who picked him up he said immediately he heard a conversation that the OPC saw a car speedily coming after him.
So they took the boy to their office till morning to interrogate him. The boy couldn’t speak but asked for a pen and paper. So he wrote down his name and school. He couldn’t remember his parent’s numbers anymore.
The OPC men then traced the school and took the boy there. Meanwhile, the boy’s school bag and lunch box were still on the school premises
