The death of 20-year-old, Anita, an employee of KFC Festac has triggered the attention of residents and many Nigerians.
This has drawn the attention of the Nigerian Police as the State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, Benjamin Hudeyin responded that the case is being taken up seriously, the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba and an investigation has commenced into the matter.
Currently, two staff members of the eatery have been arrested over her death and the circumstances surrounding it on Friday and investigations are ongoing.
Relatives and friends of the deceased, Anita Chiwendu, stormed the eatery to demand her corpse on Wednesday morning, five days after she was reported dead.
The deceased, a 20-old girl who had worked with the restaurant for about two months, allegedly slumped and died while trying to spread her clothes.

The need for an autopsy on the deceased to know the cause of death is why the body has been withheld, and the family has been adequately notified.
The arrested staff are still in police custody, as the case was reported at the Festac Division, from where it was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba.
An investigating team visited KFC on the 13th of July, 2023 to check the Close Circuit Television, CCTV, as part of the investigation.
