In a bid to alleviate the indigent people of Amuwo-Odofin local government from the adverse effect of the removal of fuel subsidy, the Amuwo-Odofin local government chairman, Valentine Buraimoh distributed free food palliatives consisting of food supplies like yam, egg, rice, palm oil, garri, etc, to people in the community.
According to information, the program is aimed at ensuring that no one goes hungry within the local government.
In fulfilment of the monthly free distribution of food palliatives to identified indigent across communities, the council chairman presented food and grocery items to the councillor Ward C, for onward distribution to indigent members of Ward C.
The councillor, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed promised that the items would be distributed accordingly.
The council chairman who acknowledged the presence of the stakeholders present, said the palliatives are meant for the widows, physically privileged, youth, CDC, CDA, and people in general who are finding it difficult to eat.
