A 45-year-old man, Mukhtar Jubril, was on Monday docked in an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing nine deep freezers.
The police charged Jubril with conspiracy and theft before Magistrate L.K.J Layeni.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecution Counsel, Dr Simon Uche , told the court that the defendant committed the offence on February 13 at the Kirikiri area of Apapa, Lagos.

According to him, the offence contravenes the provisions of sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015
Magistrate Layeni admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N1 million with two sureties in like sum.
Layeni adjourned the case until April 8 for trial.
