A 33,000-litre petrol tanker on the 3rd of January fell on its side at the Alaba express bus-stop, Apapa Oshodi expressway in Amuwo Odofin.
According to Margaret Adeseye, director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the tanker was moving outbound Mile 2 when it lost control and fell on its side, and spilled its content.
“The incident is being mitigated by the Ajegunle fire crew of the agency and has it under control with no palpable cause for alarm,” she said.
An adult male motorcyclist was however trapped beneath the tanker and efforts were taken to recover him.
The tanker had lost control while in motion, causing it to fall on its side and spilling its content.
All will be well in Nigeria
