The Residents of the Mile2 estate axis of Amuwo-Odofin LGA, Lagos State on Thursday October 19th 2023 took to Protest poor and erratic power supply in the axis.
The Protest marched to the Ikeja Electric office at Fatgbems which is the disco that serves their axis
Comprising of zone A, zone B, zone C – G and the Festac extension axis
The Protest spanned for 3 hours and saw to agreeived residents airing their grievances on the very poor supply of power over the past few months.
Some lamented the unequal distribution of supply. According to a resident, he said they get 2 hours supply while others are getting 10 hours in the same axis, which he called unfair.
No violence was recorded, the protestants were addressed by a representative of Ikeja Electric.
Demands were made by the residents and they were assured of actions that would be taken in a short time frame
