20th of November was the day Muslim faithful’s in Amuwo-Odofin gathered together to kick-start the 2019 election campaigns with prayers.
The prayers, a special prayer for all the APC Candidates in the country as the general election draws nearer, was organised by the LG at the Local Government Secretariat hall.
Gracing the occasion were Muslim faithfuls, clerics, spiritual leaders in the community. etc.
Speaking to the attendees, the LG chairman,Valentine Buraimoh solicited for their support in the forth coming general election.
In his words,
“the ruling party has demonstrated with their actions in all ramifications the true meaning of democracy. You can all testify *to* the wonderful works *that* the President is doing in fighting insurgency, corruption and also redefying the economic growth of the country.
“Not long ago, the country was in recession but with the thoughtfulness and the economic *crack* team of the country, we are out of recession.
“The Flag bearers of our party in the country including President Muhammad Buhari; Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI); Hon. Risikat Adegeye and Hon Mojisola Alli-Macaulay would be voted for.
The Council helmsman thanked the Muslim faithful for the event and tasked them to always ensure peaceful co-existence amongst other religions.
