Earlier yesterday morning at about 3 am, the alert residents of 22 Road, Festac town, had their attention drawn to an attempted theft in the Sweet Sensation complex.
According to a witness, name withheld, “The guys came this early morning, three of them to steal from the company at the back of Sweet sensation, and you know some of us are always awake at night. We saw them when they tried to break in and chased them, but unfortunately, we were only able to get one of them.”
The culprits were spotted before they could successfully carry out their proposed theft.
Unfortunately, only one of them was caught, and he was beaten to a pulp, hands and legs bleeding so bad he couldn’t stand up to walk. He was left to drag himself across the stretch of the road.
Another witness said, “He has been collecting beatings since morning, and even when they said they should call the police to come pick him up, they refused.”
