A businessman and his wife, their two daughters, as well as their family friend, have been taken into custody after an investigation revealed they run a major illicit drug distribution network in Lagos.

The suspects, identified as Ajah Johnson Uchenna, his wife Rosemary Uchenna, and their two daughters, Stella Uchenna and Ngozi Uchenna, as well as their family friend, Okoro Elijah, were identified for allegedly running a major illicit drug distribution network in Lagos.
Operatives of the DSS first apprehended the couple on June 13 in Ojo and transferred them to the NDLEA along with 277.5kg of skunk.
Further investigation revealed that the family business was still running, leading to another raid on their home and packing store on July 1, where an additional 231kg of skunk was recovered.
The NDLEA has vowed to intensify its clampdown on drug cartels, regardless of how well disguised or connected they are, reaffirming its commitment to stemming the tide of drug abuse and trafficking across Nigeria.
