The (NRCS) Nigerian Red Cross Society alongside other individual volunteers took to some communities in Amuwo Odofin on the 21st of June 2023, to do the good work of spreading awareness of Diphtheria through public outreach and house-to-house visits.
There has been a serial outreach campaign worldwide, to communities over the drastic situation of the deadly serial bacterial infection, Diphtheria, and the harms it causes.
Volunteers have been on the move across Nigeria, raising awareness through public outreach and house-to-house visits for the #StopDiphtheria campaign supported by The Nigerian Red Cross Society.
Some members of Amuwo Odofin division of NRCS and other volunteers took to the streets of Oriade to raise this DIPHTHERIA campaign.
This visit was primarily to educate people about the infection and teach them how to actively combat the Diphtheria outbreak in Nigeria.
