PDP Chairmanship Candidate for Amuwo Odofin Promises Youth Empowerement

Seun Abayomi Wealth , Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate aspiring for the position of the Executive Chairman, Amuwo Odofin has promised to ensure Security of lives and property as well as youth empowerment.
won the Primaries election conducted on Friday 26th May 2017 at Ogidi civic center, FESTAC Town.

According to Authority Newspaper , he stressed how security is very vital in any society and any leader who has the key to achieve a secured environment will be adjudged a proactive leader.
Hon. Oluwaseun wealth says he has the strategy to ensure that the residents of the area no longer sleep with their eyes open.
Hon. Wealth says the youths in any society are very energetic people and so there is need to channel their energies into productive use otherwise they will resort to negative use of their skills, energies and even knowledge to criminality.
In a press conference in Lagos, Hon Wealth told members of the press that he has a complete programme for youth empowerment and it is a major item in his manifesto and if he emerges the winner at the election that the youths in that area will have cause to smile and all residents of Festac and Amuwo Odofin will have a safe area.
In his words
“I am a young man and I know how the minds of the youths work. We have a scholarship scheme for those that would want to further their education that is for the very brilliant students.
I must tell you that of particular interest to me is the skill acquisition programme.
“It covers those who have already learnt some trade and those who will be enrolling for the first time.
I say this because you see a lot of young people on the street and they tell you that they have learnt wielding, fashion designing or tailoring, block moulding etcetera, but have no money to buy tools and equipment to take off.
They just move about the street and they will say they are unemployed. We intend to move them off the streets.
They will be gainfully employed, not necessarily salary jobs but entrepreneurs. They will own businesses and also be employers of labour”
He stressed on the issue of Sanitation in the community.
He said that the environment is very dirty at the moment and he would do something about it as well.
“You know that the Monthly environmental sanitation usually done every last Saturday of the Month does no longer hold in Lagos State and so the environment has become very dirty.
A filthy environment has its own attendant health challenges. We will work on the environment and make Festac, Amuwo Odofin and environ habitable.
I heard some people have relocated from the area, I do not know how true it is but they will return and see a better, safer and cleaner area.
“Some people also say there is security issue in the area but I tell people that security is everybody’s responsibility, no one person can solve the problem of security in the area because you cannot be everywhere at the same time.
The government alone cannot sole the issue of security, it is a collective effort.
If you suspect your neighbour’s activities, you can give an honest intelligence report.
I say honest here because it will not be good for a person to just give wrong information because he or she wants to punish the person.
If honest intelligence information is given to government, it will use the information to help you.
You do not have to cover crime because your door might just be the next the criminal will knock on”
