The Rep Your Hood Battle Competition was a success as it held on the 23rd July 2016 in Festac Town.
The show kicked off with contestants registering and ready to represent their hood .
Over 20 contestants registered with a handful of audience ready to cheer them and see who the next superstar would be.
The host , Stevenator did a great job , keeping everyone glued to the venue , even in the rain.
The competition was open to all Rap 7 Freestyle artist in Festac Town , both Upcoming and already established.
Not to forget Dj Mordu & Da Phenomenal Dj (DPD) who kept the music going , giving the beats for the competition.
Also in attendance was Josh of Planet TV , who carefully selected 4 out of the contestants and officially announced a deal for them on his platform.
As i will always say , Rap is like an addiction that even the rain made no difference.
It started with a freestyle competition where aspiring rappers and competitors showcased themselves to everyone .
Both the Good , amazing , bad and ugly came out , it was sure a handful .
The first session was the 8 barz were the rappers showed the stuff they made of. They were given the opportunity of 1 minute each.
Not so long , the rains came down but that didn’t keep the crowd away , it didn’t stop the competition.
There were three battle-out sessions which ended up leaving Linguini as the winner of the Rap battle.
He gets a free music production deal with Soundville studio , Lagos and also a music video to be shot in Festac Town.
One thing is sure Festac Town is a great ground for untapped talents and potentials .
It was a great experience , the young , the old and even sucklings were out there to give support and of course choose who would Rep our Hood , Festac Town.
Rep Your Hood organised by Underground really made a difference.
