In a bid to ensure synergy amongst stakeholders and the community at large with focus on security, the Security summit organized by the Secure Lagos Communites Initiatives was held.
The event, which was held on Thursday, 19th of September, 2024, at the Oriade LCDA multipurpose hall, saw to a number of attendees including stakeholders, community reps, and security agencies.
Amongst participants were security agencies, community leaders, stakeholders, CAN Oriade LCDA, the Council of Imams in Oriade LCDA, the Community Development Committee (CDC), the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), the Lagos State Neighbourhood Corps (LSNC) etc. Also present was the Vice Chairman Oriade LCDA, Hon. Moshood Olanrewaju Badmus , Legislative Arm led by Rt. Hon. Jamiu Jimoh (Leader of the House, Oriade LCDA Legislative Arm) and other members of the executive Arm.
This commendable initiative, aligned with the vision of AIG Adegoke Fakayode (Zone 2 Police Command), brought together key security agencies and our communities in a concerted effort to address the pressing challenges of insecurity within our locality.
The summit, themed “Discovering Lasting Solutions: Tackling the Challenges of Insecurity in Our Community,” provided a strategic platform for discussing innovative approaches to enhancing the safety of our people.
The event was seen in an engaging and informative session, which allowed for active participation by attendees all on the aim to strive for a safer and more secure Oriade LCDA.
