The Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu, on the 9th of July, 2024, inaugurated two newly completed Government housing in the bid to meet the demands for decent homes in Lagos state.

The Governor, commissioned a 10-storey rising apartment and multi-floor greater Lagos LBIC/WGC Apartments in Amuwo Odofin. Both projects, built separately from each other, were developed and completed by Lagos State Building Investment Company (LBIC). 

The 10-floor Rising Lagos Apartment built in Mile 2 is a three-block residential building with integrated multi-level parking lots; consisting of 50 units of three-bedroom flats and 10 units of two-bedroom flats, in the serene Amuwo-Odofin neighborhood.

The Joint Venture development has 144 units of apartments, comprising 32-unit studios, 60 one-bedroom and 52 two-bedroom flats.

The Governor said the two housing schemes were projects inspired by his Government’s deliberate desire to address the housing deficit in urban areas, while making home ownership a reality for the residents.

The two groundbreaking housing projects that were unveiled were critical steps in the pursuit of the speedy actualization of transforming Lagos to a 21st Century Economy in line with the T. H. E. M.E. S + agenda.

The 10-storey Rising Lagos Apartment has a multi-level storey car park and adequate parking for guests. There is also sewage and water supply, dedicated electric transformer, elevator, relaxation area and water treatment system. 

The 144-unit Greater Lagos LBIC/WGC Apartments have ample parking space, borehole water system with adequate cold-water storage tanks on stanchion, dedicated transformer and paved walkway.
