The Lagos State police have uncovered a baby factory where young girls are abducted and recruited to give birth in the Afirugbin area of Ijegun, Lagos State, and rescued 10 people.

Three suspects who were operators of the baby factory, Maryam Vincent, 35, and two others, Ujunwa Ifeanyi, 18, and Orie Ruth, 23, were arrested by the police.
The illegal activity was exposed after the police received a tip-off last Saturday.
During the operation, the police rescued several victims, including three children aged seven, five, and two, Precious, 24; Magdalene, 25; Adaobi, 23; Princess, 22; Ifeanyi, 25; Amaka, 26; and three children: Destiny, 7; Miracle, 5; and Success, 2, who were held in captivity. The children were reportedly abducted from different parts of Lagos State by the operators to set up the baby factory.
The suspects admitted during questioning that they kidnapped the victims from different places in the state to run the baby factory. The investigation is still ongoing, and the suspects will face charges in court.
