Queues Resurface in Amuwo-Odofin, Residents Groan

The fuel scarcity has become a recurring issue in the Amuwo-Odofin LGA of Lagos State. Long queues of vehicles have become a common sight at fuel stations since Saturday 17th August 2024.

The scarcity has led to unnecessary congestions and unheeding traffic especially at the Apple junction axis which has the NNPC Filling station close by.

This scarcity has led to an increase in black market activities , while some stations are selling at unusually high rates.

The scarcity wasn’t just seen in Amuwo-Odofin but has become a nationwide issue as queues resurfaced in major cities in Nigeria including Abuja and Lagos state.

In amuwo, several stations were seen to have enormous number of residents who either were trying to purchase fuel or stuck in the traffic created.
